The trustees of the Hall will have met in September to review their strategy for fully opening the premises, in planned stages, to all our community. In the meantime, preparations for reopening in a safe and secure way are well in hand, with signage and hygiene measures being put in place at a cost of over £1600 received from a recent grant. A full risk assessment will also have been completed as well as new special terms of hire for all users.
An early trial will have taken place in September which will have seen the return of children and grandchildren to their ballet classes in the Club Room, plus some older members. During this time the premises will have remained closed to all other users, and progress of the trial will be closely monitored by the trustees. This is a learning curve for everyone involved and any lessons learned will be applied to improve safety for all other returning to the Hall in the future.
We will continue to keep you informed of developments and look forward to the time when we will see the hall once again a busy and thriving amenity for our community.
