Ferring Village Hall

Ferring Village Hall has entered an exciting phase of its development as it approaches the centenary of its establishment in 1924. The legacy left by Mrs Henty has resulted in a vibrant community asset used by a wide range of groups and occasional users whose interests range through the arts, theatre, music and dance to history and horticulture – to name but a few.

The Hall is in excellent condition, financially viable and the Trustees work hard to maintain it at a high standard. For example, the roofing has recently been inspected and is being improved. New double-glazed windows have been fitted and the central heating system has been overhauled. Attractive new signage will be fitted outside the building soon, to complement the colourful posters on the outside notice boards.  Future plans include more effective insulation of the building and fund-raising for new floors.

In recognition of the efforts of the work of the Trustees, Ferring Village Hall has been awarded Level 1 of the Hallmark Quality Scheme run by Action in Rural Sussex.
